Biography of David Shilling

David Shilling, a renowned British milliner, was born on June 27, 1956, in London. He received his education in London at St. Paul's School. From 1973 to 1975, he worked at an insurance company while also working at a hat shop. In 1976, David opened his own company, specializing in the production and sale of high-quality hats.

From a young age, David developed a passion for creativity. He started by rearranging his room and making soft toys, which he sold in a store when he was just thirteen years old. Since then, he has been involved in the fashion and millinery industry.

During his teenage years, David visited a hatmaker with his mother, which turned out to be a decisive moment in his life as a designer. He created his first hat for his mother, who always had a refined taste and dressed impeccably. Interestingly, David's mother became his main model, and her image consistently accompanied his hat collections.

David pursued fashion, believing that it is ever-changing and requires close attention. While fashion used to primarily focus on clothing, it now encompasses various aspects of human life. This multi-dimensionality of modern fashion allowed David Shilling to work not only in the field of designer hats but also in other areas, such as the United Nations Organization.

He was always hungry for innovation. Something new in itself does not always fully embody the modern requirements of fashion. The key to success, according to David, is the ability to skillfully combine, connect, and reflect. When he first started creating hats, he did not expect them to become the best in the world. His goal was to produce hats that would become an integral part of a woman's wardrobe and be loved and cherished by them. And he succeeded. His hats continue to be immensely popular among women, especially those who appreciate and understand the essence of true art.
