Biography of Dean McDermott
Dean McDermott was an American television and film actor. He was born in 1966 in Toronto, Canada. McDermott began his acting career in the late 1980s, appearing in various films in Canada and the United States. However, he did not have any particularly notable or major roles during this time.
In 1989, McDermott appeared in the Canadian crime drama "Straight Line." He then made his American film debut in the musical "Stepping Out" in 1991. He continued to work in both film and television, appearing in movies such as the thriller "Bloodknot" in 1995 and the horror film "Bone Daddy" in 1998. McDermott also had an active career on Canadian television, appearing in numerous TV movies and series such as "Due South," "Earth: Final Conflict," "Navy NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service," and "Without a Trace."
One of McDermott's most significant films was the dramatic western "Open Range" in 2003, starring Kevin Costner. In the following year, he appeared in several other films, including the Canadian-British comedy "Touch of Pink" and the German-American sports drama "Against the Ropes."

In May 2010, McDermott and Spelling renewed their wedding vows in a ceremony attended by the press. McDermott enjoys playing golf in his spare time, and he has two golden retrievers at home. In July 2010, he was involved in a motorcycle accident, but luckily, his injuries were not life-threatening.
