Biography of Dean Winchester

Dean Winchester is a fictional character and one of the main protagonists in the CW Television Network's series "Supernatural." From a young age, Dean knew about the existence of supernatural creatures and had the ability to fight them. He grew up in Lawrence, Kansas, as the eldest child of John and Mary Winchester. Dean was named after his maternal grandmother, Deanna Campbell.

The peaceful life of the Winchester family was shattered on November 2, 1983, when an unknown dark entity brutally killed Mary Winchester. John entrusted Dean with the task of saving his younger brother, Sam, while he attempted, unsuccessfully, to save his wife. Dean felt responsible for Sam's fate and took on the role of protecting him.

John taught his children the art of hunting supernatural creatures, although Sam kept his involvement in the family business a secret for a long time. Dean, who raised Sam in many ways due to their father's frequent absences on hunting trips, struggled to establish a close relationship with their father. In 2005, Dean had to turn to Sam for help when their father mysteriously disappeared on a mission. Although Sam initially hesitated to abandon his newly established life, the tragic death of his girlfriend, resembling their mother's death, changed his mind.

After a series of adventures, Sam died from multiple stab wounds, and Dean saved him by selling his own soul to demons. With the help of his resurrected father and a hard-earned Colt revolver, Dean killed the demon Azazel. However, an army of demons invaded the world. According to the terms of the deal, Dean had only one year left to live unless he destroyed the demon holding his contract. The hunt for the demon Lilith ended in failure, and Dean was dragged to Hell by hellhounds.

After four months, Dean miraculously returned from the grave, thanks to the efforts of heavenly angels. The angel Castiel informed the brothers that Lilith planned to release Lucifer into the world again. Dean had endured torture and became a torturer himself during his time in Hell, which played a significant role in his battle with guilt. Despite their efforts, they could not stop Lilith, and Lucifer returned. It was revealed that Dean was destined to become the vessel of the archangel Michael, resulting in a battle between the brothers that would bring about the Apocalypse.

The brothers managed to trap Lucifer and Michael in a cage, but Sam closed it from the inside. Dean, believing his brother had died, attempted to live a normal life with his wife and lost son. However, a year later, Sam returned from the cage, having lost his memory of Dean. The gates of Hell were eventually opened by the angel Castiel, leading to the release of the nearly invincible Leviathans. Dean and Castiel were sent to Purgatory during a confrontation with the Leviathan leader, Dick Roman.

Dean managed to escape Purgatory with the help of a vampire named Benny. Upon reuniting with Sam, Dean learned about a way to permanently close all the gates of Hell. Manipulated by angel siblings, Dean became the bearer of the First Blade and the Mark of Cain, which gradually turned him into a bloodthirsty monster. Metatron killed Dean, and even Crowley refused to resurrect him. However, Crowley secretly placed the Blade of Cain in Dean's hands, and he returned as a demon.
