Biography of Diana Hendricks
Diana Hendricks is an American billionaire and the Executive Vice President of ABC Supply. She is also the widow and heiress of the late billionaire Kenneth Hendricks. With a fortune of over three billion dollars, Kenneth was once listed as one of the wealthiest individuals in the world. Following his passing, Diana inherited his wealth and took over his position.
Early Life and Business Ventures
Diana's success story is closely tied to her husband's achievements. Kenneth began his career as a roofer, working alongside his father repairing roofs. Over time, he built a team of specialists that grew to over five hundred employees. Their efficiency and effectiveness allowed them to accumulate a substantial capital. Diana and Kenneth married in 1975 and started managing the business together. Within a few years, they owned three companies - International Roofing, Blackhawk Roofing Company, and Hendricks Real Estate Properties. However, after some time, Kenneth decided that providing roofing materials to roofers would be more profitable than the roofing itself.
American Builders and Contractors Supply
In light of Kenneth's decision, he and Diana sold their established business and acquired several wholesale warehouses, establishing the company American Builders and Contractors Supply. By 1987, the company owned fifty trade centers, and its revenue grew significantly (reaching three billion dollars annually by 2004). Aside from roofing materials, the couple also ventured into insurance and other business activities.
Tragic Loss and Continuing Success
Despite the substantial profits, Kenneth had no intention of slowing down. Unfortunately, his life was cut short by a tragic accident. He fell from the unfinished roof of his garage and died. Nevertheless, Diana's management skills allowed her to continue leading the company. With seven children and fourteen grandchildren, she has no shortage of assistance and support. Diana Hendricks is also known for her philanthropic activities, providing financial support to various organizations on a regular basis.
