Marriage and Career
In 1953, Michaels married Maurice Martiné, relocating to Beverly Hills a year later. Their marriage ended in 1959. In 1956, she caught the attention of Ben Bard from "20th Century-Fox," who cast her in "The Wayward Bus" (1957). Her significant role in the television series "Perry Mason" further solidified her presence in the entertainment industry.
Business Ventures and Relationships
Beyond her acting career, Michaels pursued entrepreneurial endeavors, attempting to establish a chain of supermarkets in California in 1958. Her personal life was marked by alleged romantic connections with notable figures such as Don Murray, John Duke, and Skip Ward. She married again in 1961 to author and journalist Bernard Woolfe, her second husband.
Family and Later Life
Michaels and Woolfe shared a love for archery, diving, and Siamese cats. In 1970, they welcomed twin daughters, Jordan and Miranda. Michaels' final on-screen appearance came in the war drama "Battle at Bloody Beach" (1961).
