Early Life and Disney Years

Don Louis Agrati, better known as Don Grady, was born in San Diego, California, on June 8, 1944, to a talent agent and a sausage manufacturer. Grady grew up in Lafayette, where he attended elementary school. After briefly attending junior high school, he signed with the Walt Disney Company and left home.

At the age of 15, Grady appeared in two episodes of the series "Zane Grey Theater" in December 1959, working alongside Joan Crawford and Dick Powell. He also guest-starred in episodes of "The Eleventh Hour" and "Mr. Novak."

"The Mickey Mouse Club" and "My Three Sons"

In 1955, Grady joined "The Mickey Mouse Club" as a "Mouseketeer." He became one of the show's most popular members, known for his singing and dancing abilities.

After leaving "The Mickey Mouse Club," Grady landed a role as Robbie Douglas in the sitcom "My Three Sons." Initially overshadowed by his on-screen older brother, played by Tim Considine, Grady's popularity grew after Considine's departure. He became a regular presence in the series for 12 years, alongside Fred MacMurray.

Music Career

Beyond acting, Grady pursued a musical career. He co-wrote music for Blake Edwards' comedy "Switch" with Henry Mancini. Grady also composed the theme song for "The Phil Donahue Show" and the stage show "EFX."

Grady toured nationally with the musicals "Pippin" and "Godspell," and performed in a production of "Damn Yankees." In 2008, he released a collection of songs titled "Boomer: JazRokPop" dedicated to the baby boomer generation.

Personal Life and Death

Grady married Virginia "Ginny" Lewsader in 1985, whom he met at Disneyland. They had two children, Joey and Tessa. Don Grady passed away from cancer on June 27, 2012.
