American Publisher and Science Fiction Writer

Donald R. Bensen was an American publisher and science fiction writer. He is best known for his alternative history novel, "And Having Writ...", which was first published by Bobbs-Merrill.

Early Career

In 1957, Bensen became the editor of Pyramid Publications. He later held the position of editor at Berkely Publishing Corporation in New York City. He also collaborated with the Mystery Writers of America.

Collaboration with P.G. Wodehouse

Bensen played a significant role in the reissue of P.G. Wodehouse's works in paperback in the United States. He oversaw the reprinting of Wodehouse's humorous novels and short stories, which gained widespread popularity among American readers.
