Biography of Douglas Daniel Clark
Douglas Daniel Clark was born on March 10, 1948, in Pennsylvania. He worked as a boiler operator at a soap factory, responsible for the 'Jergens' series. Prior to that, Clark was employed at a power station in San Fernando, but was fired due to constant threats of violence towards his colleagues. After the dissolution of his marriage, Douglas met Carol M. Bundy in 1980 and started living with her. Over time, he began to pay less attention to her and resort to violence. However, Bundy tried her best to earn his favor. It was then that Clark began to share his unhealthy fantasies with her, and in June 1980, the criminal couple committed their first murder.
Most of Clark and Bundy's victims were prostitutes, whom Clark killed during sexual acts with them. According to reports, Clark attempted to fulfill his fantasies of killing a woman during sex, feeling her vaginal contractions during fatal spasms. Typically, the couple lured the women into their car, where they engaged in oral sex with Clark. While the prostitute was performing her act, Bundy placed a gun in Clark's open palm, and he shot the victim directly in the back of the head.
He told Bundy that if either of them were caught, he would take full responsibility, counting on her release. In one case, the criminals preserved the head of one of their victims, which they kept in the refrigerator and used as a sex toy.
Upon his arrest in 1980, Clark claimed in his defense during the trial that he had been framed and was not guilty. He was sentenced to death in 1993 and is currently awaiting his execution in the California death row. Bundy agreed to accept guilt and received a moderate punishment in exchange for her testimony.
