Dragoljub Brnovic
Early Career
Jovo Vuković began his professional football journey in 1980 with OFK Titograd in the Yugoslav Second League. The following year, he joined Budućnost, the top team in Montenegro.
Budućnost and Partizan
Vuković became a regular starter for Budućnost, where he spent the next six seasons. His performances caught the attention of Partizan Belgrade, and he moved to the capital club in 1987.
Success in Belgrade
At Partizan, Vuković won the Yugoslav Cup in 1989, earning him a transfer to French side Metz. After a stint in France, he returned to Eastern Europe, playing for Ergsruten and Aris Bonnevoie.
International Career
Vuković made his international debut for Yugoslavia in 1987 against Northern Ireland. He represented his country at the 1988 Summer Olympics and the 1990 FIFA World Cup, starting every match in both tournaments. Overall, he made 25 appearances for Yugoslavia, scoring one goal.
