Early Life and Club CareerDrago Vragrović, a renowned Yugoslavian Croatian footballer, was born in Zagreb, Croatia. He excelled as a midfielder and played for the renowned Građjanski Zagreb club. As the team's captain, he led them to two championships and a runner-up finish in the national league.
National Team Service
Vragrović made his international debut for the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes (SCHS) national team on August 28, 1920, at the 1920 Olympics against Czechoslovakia. He represented his country in seven matches, including the 1924 Olympics, where he was part of the team but did not play.
Club Achievements
As a member of Građjanski Zagreb, Vragrović contributed to the club's success as a two-time champion (1923, 1926) and a runner-up in 1925.
Later Years and Legacy
After his playing days, Vragrović continued to be involved in football. On January 22, 1973, at the age of 72, he passed away from a heart attack in his hometown of Zagreb. Drago Vragrović remains a celebrated figure in Yugoslavian and Croatian football history, remembered for his exceptional skill and leadership.
