Early Life and Education

Ekaterina Didenko's childhood and teenage years remain shrouded in mystery as she seldom discusses them publicly. Various sources suggest that she was born in Pyatigorsk in 1991, although Didenko herself has stated in an Instagram post that she was born in Taganrog. It is known that she grew up with her sister Anna, who occasionally appears in her vlogs.

Didenko earned a red diploma in pharmacy from the Pyatigorsk Medical Institute. Her education provided the foundation for her future career in the pharmaceutical industry and inspired her to establish her blog.

Blogging Career

Leveraging her professional knowledge, Didenko launched her Instagram blog, where she shared pharmaceutical advice with followers. She helped them navigate the complexities of medication formulations and manufacturing, saving them money on their purchases. Through collaborations with partners and fellow creators, Didenko conducted thorough medicine cabinet audits, removing expired and ineffective remedies. She offered suggestions for suitable replacements and provided insights into the proper use of various medications.

During her maternity leave, Didenko used her blog to earn additional income as an ambassador for a diaper delivery service. She created videos highlighting product ingredients and usage.

Personal Life

Didenko was married to Valentin Didenko. In 2016, they welcomed their daughter Anastasia, followed by their son Alexander two years later. Her husband was her ardent supporter, assisting with the technical aspects of her blogging endeavors. He handled photo and video editing, specializing in online marketing and promotional strategies.

The Tragic Incident

On February 28, 2020, Didenko's 29th birthday celebration took a tragic turn. She decided to host a party at a sauna, inviting close friends and family. As preparations unfolded, the young couple brought in an unusual surprise: dry ice.

Valentin intended to create a show by releasing the dry ice into the pool, anticipating a dramatic cloud of vapor. However, he ignored warnings from the ice vendor about the potential dangers involving toxic fumes and burns.

The festivities were captured on video by Didenko, who documented the event for her followers. Guests donned protective suits and goggles as the men carried in a refrigerator containing the dry ice. A chemical reaction ensued almost immediately. Diving into the pool amid the swirling vapor, two men initially appeared to enjoy the spectacle.

Within minutes, tragedy struck. The individuals in the pool experienced severe difficulty breathing. While staff at the sauna called emergency services, two people succumbed to their injuries on the spot, and others were hospitalized with varying degrees of damage.

Heartbroken, Didenko shared the devastating news of her husband Valentin's passing along with two friends, Natalya Monakova and Yuri Alferov, on her Instagram stories. Their deaths were attributed to the reaction between dry ice and water, causing them to lose consciousness and drown. Didenko's pregnant sister was also affected by the incident.

The tragedy garnered widespread media coverage and sparked a criminal investigation by the Investigative Committee. Didenko faced immense criticism, with accusations ranging from insensitivity in posting about the incident on social media to being solely responsible for the fatal outcome.

Public Controversy and Healing

In the aftermath of the tragedy, Didenko appeared on Andrey Malakhov's talk show "Pryanoy Efir" to discuss the incident. The opinions of the studio guests were divided, with some expressing sympathy and others condemning her actions. Didenko herself acknowledged the immense pain and grief she was experiencing and pleaded for an end to the negativity surrounding her and her loved ones.

Didenko's subsequent appearances on Dmitry Borisov's "Pust Govoryat" and Ksenia Sobchak's "Dok-Tok" shows only intensified the backlash. Prominent figures, including fitness trainer Elena Sanzhanovskaya and blogger Liliya Abramova, voiced their disapproval of the "pharmacy auditor."

New Relationships and Rebuilding

In the wake of her husband's passing, Didenko began a relationship with Vlad Chernykh. He developed a close bond with her children and, according to Didenko, helped her heal from the trauma. In November 2020, she announced that she was expecting a child with Vlad. However, upon visiting the gynecologist, she confirmed that she was not pregnant.

On the eve of 2021, news broke of Didenko and Vlad's separation. Allegations surfaced that Didenko's excessive alcohol consumption led to a heated argument, prompting Chernykh to demand a breakup. Didenko initially struggled to cope with the split and contemplated retaliation against her former partner.

A month later, her relationship with Vlad was rekindled and lasted until the summer of 2021.

Post-Split Life

Following her final breakup with Vlad, Didenko's heart remained vacant for a short period. By early 2022, her Instagram account featured photographs of a new love interest whose face she obscured. She confirmed that she had introduced her children to him, and they enjoyed vacations together.

She later revealed his name to be Vadim. In May, news outlets reported that Didenko's new boyfriend had been assaulted during a visit to a karaoke bar. However, most of her followers were unsympathetic, urging her to be more discerning in her choice of company.

Ekaterina Didenko Today

As of 2022, Didenko continues to maintain her blog, occasionally generating controversy with her experimental content. One such video, in which she used her daughter as a mannequin to demonstrate first aid for drowning, elicited a deluge of negative comments.

Amidst the partial mobilization declaration in Russia, Didenko shifted her content focus to providing practical advice relevant to wartime situations. She demonstrated how to assemble a first aid kit and how to stop bleeding from gunshot wounds. Didenko offered to volunteer at a military commissariat to teach essential first aid skills free of charge, but her offer was declined.

Hoping to contribute to society by sharing life-saving knowledge, Didenko sought to deliver a lecture at the State Duma of the Russian Federation as part of the "Social Blogger" project. However, her appearance was reportedly canceled due to negative online comments that influenced the organizers' decision.
