Early Career with "Ovation"
From March 1999 to October 2003, Elena Grishanova performed as part of the duo "Ovation." In 2000, the duo caught the attention of English producer William Roberts after a visit to London. This led to a collaboration with Universal's English branch.
Gaining Recognition
Under the guidance of sound producer Michel Stivens, Elena Grishanova recorded the single "I Want to Be..." and released the CD "Ovation" in a London studio. The duo performed their English-language material at various venues, becoming popular guests at English nightclubs and concert halls.
Manchester United Connection
Elena Grishanova and "Ovation" became favorites of Manchester United fans through a close relationship. They performed before 100,000 supporters at the team's home stadium, an experience Elena recalls as both intimidating and ultimately rewarding.
Solo Career
In January 2004, Elena Grishanova embarked on a solo career. She planned to release an album featuring both Russian and English songs. Collaborating with Ukrainian company "Mama Music," she recorded tracks like "Love is Not Killed" and "Autumn Rain." The involvement of songwriter Vitaly Kurovsky, composer Ruslan Quinta, and sound producer Gennady Krupnik ensured the material's professionalism and appeal.
