Eloise Mumford is an American actress, best known for her roles in television series such as "Lone Star" and "The River". She recently gained a new opportunity to become famous by landing a major role in the highly anticipated adaptation of the best-selling novel "Fifty Shades of Grey".

Early Life and Education

Eloise Mumford was born to Tom Mumford and Nancy Smith. She grew up in Olympia, Washington and was homeschooled until the fifth grade. She then attended schools in Tacoma and Olympia. Eloise has an older sister named Anna and a younger brother named Kay.

Early Acting Career

Eloise's passion for acting was ignited at a young age when she saw a local production of the musical "South Pacific" at the age of seven. In high school, she participated in the school's drama club and also collaborated with a local theater troupe. After graduating in 2009, Eloise attended the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. She also studied at Atlantic Acting School.

Rise to Fame

While still a student, Eloise landed the lead role opposite Jesse Eisenberg in the short film "Some Boys Don't Leave", directed by Maggie Kiley. She also gained experience in theater, serving as an understudy for Elisabeth Moss in the Broadway production of "Speed the Plow".
