Else Marie Bruun

Inga Brün was born in Denmark and studied music under organist Kaj Senstius. She went on to hone her skills at the Copenhagen Conservatory from 1928 to 1931 under the tutelage of Anton Svendsen and Peder Møller.
Orchestral Career
In 1932, Brün joined the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra. Four years later, she moved to the Royal Chapel, where her husband, Julius Koppel, was already a member.
The Koppel Quartet
1945 marked the inception of the Koppel String Quartet. While her husband played the viola, Brün took up the first violin. Over the following quarter-century, the quartet performed extensively, featuring various musicians alongside Brün and Koppel.
Personal Life and Legacy
Brün and Koppel welcomed a daughter named Susanne Brun-Koppel, who pursued an acting career. The Koppel String Quartet's enduring performances and Brün's musical contributions left an indelible mark on the Danish music scene.
