Legal Education and Career
Austrian jurist Max Adler graduated from the University of Vienna in 1896. He began his teaching career in civil law at the University of Prague in 1900, moving to the University of Vienna in 1902. In 1910, he became an associate professor, and in 1918, he was promoted to full professor.
Government Service and Publications
From 1918 to 1921, Adler served in the government's patent office. He authored numerous works on patent and labor law, including:
"Zivilrechtliche Erörterungen zum Patentregister" (1900)
"Das österreichische Betriebsrätegesetz" (1922)"Arbeitsrecht im Kriege" (1927)
Personal Life
Max Adler's son, Franz Adler (1908-1983), became a renowned American sociologist.
