Early Life and Education
Emma de Caunes was born in Paris, France, to French actor and director Antoine de Caunes and television director Gaël Royer. She received her baccalaureate degree in cinema in 1995.
Acting Career
De Caunes began her acting career at the age of 12, landing a role in a film kindly provided by her godmother, Michèle Reiser. She played the character "Arvin."
Her first leading role came in Sylvia Verheyde's "Brother" (1997), which earned her a César Award for Most Promising Actress. She went on to star in independent films such as "La voie est libre," "Restons groupes," and "Mille bornes."
Directing and Screenwriting
In 1999, Emma directed her first short film, "Le nombril de l'Univers." She returned to acting in films such as "Sans plomb," "Princesses," and "Asterix & Obélix: Mission Cléopaâtre."
Acclaimed Performances
