Biography of Erika Schoenberg
Early Life and Introduction to Card GamesErika Schoenberg, a professional American card player, is renowned for her skills in both poker and blackjack. Born in Akron, Ohio in 1978, Erika was attracted to cards from an early age, often accompanying her parents to casinos. As she grew older, Erika began honing her skills by playing online and eventually made her way to live tournaments.

A Threat to Male Players
Interestingly, the beautiful Erika soon became a formidable opponent for male players, who traditionally viewed young, attractive women as pleasant distractions in the male-dominated game. In 2007, Schoenberg achieved a notable milestone by finishing 16th in the World Poker Tour and securing 3rd place in the World Series of Poker. She also competed in the fourth season of WPT Ladies Night Event, where she played against Jennifer Tilly and four other women. In the same year, Erika won $105,875 in the Mandalay Bay Poker Championship in No-Limit Hold'em.

Ups and Downs
After her remarkable success in 2007, Erika experienced a string of less fortunate events and was unable to secure any significant wins. Reflecting on these setbacks, Erika described her feelings, saying, "At first, you feel like everything is on your side, but after two years of faceless play, that feeling deserts you."

Return to Form
Despite these challenges, Erika continued to train online and regained her form, eventually securing 42nd place in the WPT L.A. Poker Classic. Erika is married to American professional poker player Erick Lindgren, and together they formed a well-known pair in the poker community.

Multi-Talented Player
In addition to poker, Erika is also skilled in blackjack and has been seen competing in the Ultimate Blackjack Tour. As of 2011, Erika Schoenberg had accumulated a total of $750,000 in prize money from live tournaments. During major events, Erika strives to relax and engage in enjoyable activities such as playing golf and walking her dogs rather than obsessing over the game.
