Yevhenii Shmakov is a Ukrainian footballer who primarily plays as a midfielder. He was born on June 15, 1985, in Lviv, Ukraine. Shmakov began his football career as a youth player in Lviv, under the guidance of his first coach, Yury Bogach.
Career
Shmakov made his professional debut in the Ukrainian Premier League on July 23, 2006, representing FC Karpaty Lviv in a match against Metalurh Zaporizhia, which ended in a 0-0 draw. He then went on to play for various clubs in Ukraine, including Galychyna Lviv, Zorya Luhansk, Dynamo Kyiv, and Arsenal Kyiv.
In August 2008, Shmakov joined FC Tavriya Simferopol and made his debut for the club on August 24, 2008, in a match against Metalurh Donetsk, which Tavriya won 2-1. After spending the 2010 season with FC Luch-Energiya Vladivostok in Russia, he moved to Belarusian club FC Gomel in March 2011.
During his time at FC Gomel, Shmakov had an impressive performance and was recognized as the best foreign player in the Belarusian Premier League in June 2011.
