Biography of Fabrizio Moretti
Fabrizio Moretti, born in 1980 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is a musician and drummer of the rock band "The Strokes". His parents, an Italian father and a Brazilian mother, brought him to New York, USA, when he was four years old. Remarkably, by this age, young Fabrizio was already deeply interested in drums, extracting rhythms and sounds from them that only made sense to him. At five years old, his parents allocated him a separate room where he could have his drum performances without disturbing the household.

Formation of "The Strokes"
During his time at the Dwight School in New York, teenage Moretti met Nick Valensi and Julian Casablancas, with whom he later formed the band "The Strokes". After enrolling in college, where he was supposed to become a school teacher, Fabrizio realized that he was wasting his time as it was evident that he could and wanted to be a musician, specifically a drummer, in life. He dropped out of school in 1998 and joined the band, which would later bring him success and fame.

Popularity of "The Strokes"
The popularity of "The Strokes" grew gradually in New York. During one of their concerts, they caught the attention of Ryan Gentles, who was so amazed by their music that he quit his job to immediately become their manager. In 2001, their first album, "Is This It," was released, but their second album, "Room on Fire," faced a disappointing setback. In 2006, after the failure of their second album, they released their third album, "First Impressions Of Earth." Also in 2006, "The Strokes" embarked on a tour in support of the album, including a concert in Moscow, Russia.

Relationship with Drew Barrymore
In 2002, after the release of "Is This It," while at the height of their success, Moretti met actress Drew Barrymore, and the names of these two young individuals became inseparably linked in the press for the next five years. However, the much-anticipated wedding between the two never happened, and in 2007, Moretti and Barrymore broke up. According to rumors, the breakup occurred because Moretti, who had repeatedly proposed to his lady, grew tired of hearing rejections and requests to postpone marriage.
Television Appearances and Personal Life
Sometimes, Moretti appears on television, and he has been featured on shows such as "Friday Night with Jonathan Ross," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "Saturday Night Live," and several others. Moretti's family resides in Brazil, so he always finds time to visit his homeland twice a year.
