Early Life and EducationFarah Zeynep Abdullah was born on August 17, 1989 in Istanbul, Turkey. Her name, of Arabic origin, translates to "happiness." Her father, Omani Abdullah, is an Iranian Turkmen, while her mother, Gülay Abdullah, is a homemaker of Turkish descent. Farah studied at the French Lycée Saint-Michel in Istanbul and completed her secondary education in the United Kingdom, becoming fluent in French and English.
Her passion for acting emerged during her school years, where she actively participated in various theater productions. Notably, she received the coveted "Best Actress in School" award for her performance in one of these plays.
Acting Career
Farah embarked on her acting career in 2010 with the television series "Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman Ki" ("Time Flies Like That"), where she portrayed the role of Aylin Akarsu for three years. Her breakthrough performance came with her portrayal of Mediha in the film "Kelebeğin Rüyası" ("The Butterfly's Dream").
In 2014, Farah gained international recognition for her role as Shura, a Russian aristocrat, in the historical drama "Kurt Seyit ve Şura" ("Kurt Seyit and Shura"), where she shared the screen with renowned actor Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ. This role cemented her popularity in Russia.
Farah's notable subsequent roles include "Fısılda Yüreğim" ("Whisper If You Forget") and "Küçük Eylül Meselesi" ("September Troubles"). In 2015, she lent her voice to Azra in the Turkish dub of the animated film "Barbie in Princess Power" and also performed a song for the film.
