Faruk Eczacıbaşı is a Turkish entrepreneur, billionaire, and co-owner of a pharmaceutical company. He was born in Istanbul in 1954 and attended the Istanbul German Lycee for his secondary education. Afterward, he enrolled in the Berlin Technical University's School of Management, where he graduated in 1979 with an undergraduate and MBA degree.

He currently resides in Turkey with his family and shares the family wealth with his older brother, who is also his business partner.
In 1980, Faruk Eczacıbaşı joined the family pharmaceutical company, Eczacıbaşı Holding, initially working in the planning department.
