Biography of Freddie Starr
Freddie Starr was an English comedian who gained popularity in the 1970s. He was born in Huyton, Liverpool, England. As a teenager in 1958, he appeared in the film "Violent Playground" under his real name. In the early 1960s, Starr was the lead vocalist of the pop group "Midnighters," which was promoted by the manager of the Beatles, Brian Epstein. During this time, Starr performed actively in nightclubs in Hamburg and even helped the Beatles.

Starr's true fame came later when he was discovered on the talent show "Opportunity Knocks." He performed as part of the comedy group "Freddie Starr and the Delmonts." In 1972, Starr became one of the leading performers on the television series "Who Do You Do" and a regular participant on "Joker's Wild." He eventually had his own television show called "Freddie Starr ate my hamster." The title of his project was inspired by a headline in the famous British tabloid "The Sun" - "Freddie Starr ate my hamster." The article claimed that Starr had made a sandwich out of his friend's pet hamster, but Starr vehemently denied the story.

In 1994, Starr made headlines again, this time for a jewelry theft from his home. The main suspect was Starr's gardener, Robin Coxhead, who claimed that Starr had received oral gratification from him in exchange for the stolen jewels. However, Coxhead's version of events was discredited when he couldn't answer whether Starr was circumcised. Coxhead was ultimately found guilty and sentenced to 15 months in prison.

In recent years, Starr has made only sporadic appearances on television, mostly as a guest star. His last major project was "The Freddie Starr Show," which aired from 1996 to 1998. Critics enjoyed his appearances on the shows "An Audience with Freddie Starr" and "Another Audience with Freddie Starr," although Starr admitted that he struggled to recreate the wild atmosphere of his live performances on television.

In 2009, Starr participated in the reality show "Living with the Dead," where he claimed that a malevolent entity named George was haunting his home. In 2010, Starr was scheduled to go on tour, but it was canceled after he suffered a severe heart attack in April. He underwent emergency surgery as a result.
