Early Years and Inspirations

Freddy Bareiro, a Paraguayan footballer, began his career with Club 12 de Octubre. His childhood idol was Paraguayan player Raúl Vicente Amarilla.

Club Career

Bareiro's breakout season came in 2002, scoring seven goals. In 2003, he moved to Libertad, where he notched eight goals the following year.

Russian Interlude

In 2005, Bareiro transferred to Russian club FC Saturn. He communicated in Spanish with fellow Argentinian Nicolas Pavlovich and later with Dusan Petkovic.

Return to South America

After a stint with León in Mexico, Bareiro returned to Libertad in 2007. He then played for Tecos and, on loan, Cerro Porteño in 2011.

Success with Olimpia

In 2012, Bareiro joined Olimpia. He made his debut against his former club, Cerro Porteño, and scored his first goal in August. He helped Olimpia reach the 2013 Copa Libertadores final, finishing as the team's joint top scorer. He later returned to Libertad and Nacional before rejoining Olimpia in 2015, winning the Clausura championship.

International Career

Bareiro made his international debut in 2002, scoring his first goal against Iran. He represented Paraguay at the 2004 Copa América and the 2004 Olympics, earning a silver medal and finishing as the team's second-highest scorer.
