Friedrich Wilhelm Herrmann Hofmann, commonly known as Fritz Hofmann, was a German gymnast and track and field athlete who achieved remarkable success at the inaugural modern Olympic Games held in Athens, Greece, in 1896.

As the captain of the German gymnastics team, Hofmann played a pivotal role in their triumph. On April 9, he showcased his exceptional skills on the parallel bars and horizontal bar, claiming gold medals in both events.
