In 1968, she garnered international recognition by securing third prize at the prestigious Paganini International Violin Competition. Two years later, she triumphed at the Geneva International Music Competition, solidifying her status as a virtuoso violinist.

The violinist became the first violinist of the renowned Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra. Her versatility extended to chamber music, where she played as the first violinist of the Martfeld Quartett.
