Biography of Galina Samoylova

Actress

After Galina Samoylova married actor Vadim Ledogorov, she left the film industry and focused on raising her son Nikita, who was born in 1991. Galina Samoylova, a graduate of the Lunacharsky State Institute of Theatrical Arts (GITIS), worked at the Pushkin Theater in Moscow. Among her works were roles in plays such as "The Cry" by Merezhko, "Eurydice" by Anouilh, "The People's Malahii" by Kulish, and others. She began appearing in films in 1983, playing leading roles in the melodrama "Grooms" (Kristina) directed by Stanislav Klimenko and the lyrical comedy "Next to You". As a director, she staged television productions such as "Arktur - the Hound" and "Streams Where Trout Splashes".

Family Life

After Galina Samoylova married actor Vadim Ledogorov, she left the film industry and focused on raising her son Nikita, who was born in 1991. In 1995, the whole family moved to New Zealand. They had a second son, Sasha. In New Zealand, Galina Samoylova continues to devote most of her time to raising her children. However, she has no intention of giving up her professional career. Galina participated in a musical-literary and poetic production by her husband, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of A.S. Pushkin. Additionally, she and her husband work together on the radio show "Yaroslavna".
