Garrett Wang is an American actor best known for his role as Ensign Harry Kim in the television series "Star Trek: Voyager."
Early Life and Education
Wang was born in Riverside, California, to Taiwanese immigrant parents. He moved frequently during his childhood, living in Indiana, Bermuda, Memphis, Tennessee, and finally back to California. He graduated from Harding Academy High School in Memphis and relocated to Los Angeles to attend UCLA as a pre-med major. However, he switched majors several times, eventually settling on Asian studies with all pre-med coursework completed.

Wang's most famous role is that of Ensign Harry Kim in "Star Trek: Voyager," which ran from 1995 to 2001. His portrayal of the young and idealistic officer made him a popular character among fans.

After "Star Trek," Wang appeared in various television shows and films, including "All-American Girl," "Into the West," and "Star Trek: Insurrection." He also served as the Track Director for Dragon Con in 2010, becoming the first actor to work behind the scenes at the convention.

In 2014, it was announced that Wang would reprise his role as Harry Kim in "Delta Rising," the second expansion for the multiplayer online role-playing game "Star Trek Online."
