Mark Larkham: A Life in Racing
Mark Larkham is an Australian race car driver who competed in the Formula One World Championship.
Early Career
Larkham began his racing career in Australian Formula Ford in 1982. He moved to the United Kingdom and became the 1988 British Formula 3 Vice-Champion and 1989 British Formula 3000 Champion.
Formula One Adventure
In 1990, Larkham made history as he entered the first two Grands Prix of the Formula One World Championship for the Life team. However, he failed to pre-qualify for both races.
CART Series
Undeterred, Larkham switched to the CART Championship, competing from 1990 to 1995. He achieved notable successes in the series, including several top-10 finishes.
Retirement from Racing
After leaving CART in 1995, Larkham retired from professional motor sports. He has since remained involved in the industry through various projects and initiatives.
