Armenian Chess Grandmaster

Sergiy Karjakin is an Armenian chess grandmaster who earned his title in 2009.

Education and Early Career

Karjakin graduated from the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law Academy in Kharkiv, Ukraine. In 1992, he participated in the World Youth Chess Championship in Germany.

Chess Achievements

Karjakin has a long list of accomplishments in chess tournaments:
Winner of the 1st stage of the 4th Russian Cup (2002)
Winner of the "Themis-2005" international tournament (2005)
Medalist and participant in numerous international tournaments
