Early Life and Education
Georgiy Malyavskiy, a renowned Belarusian actor, was born on October 16, 1946, in Minsk. In 1970, he graduated with a degree in acting from the Belarusian Theater and Arts Institute under the guidance of Vera Pavlovna Redlikh.
Theatrical Career
Malyavskiy's acting career began at the Mogilev Regional Drama Theater in Bobruisk. In 1971, he joined the Belarusian Yanki Kupala Theater. Notable theatrical performances included "Vyačera z prydūrkəm" directed by Pinigin, Alexander Dudarev's "Chornaya panna Niasvizha," and Pinigin's "Émigrany."
Voice Acting
Beyond his theatrical work, Malyavskiy was also known for his voice acting. He became the Belarusian voice of Dr. House (Hugh Laurie) in the popular television series "House, M.D." Describing his involvement in the project, Malyavskiy stated, "Our voices are similar to some extent. It was important for my words to match the timing of House's speech."
Film and Television
Malyavskiy's film and television career spanned from 1979 onward, with significant activity in the 2000s. He played roles in various films and series, including "Semeinye detektivy," "Oy, ma-moch-ki!," "Alchemist. Elixir of Faust," "Mukhtar. New Trail," "Kuba," "Poiti i ne vernutsya," "Zastupniki," "Chernobyl," "Hidden Work," and "Dela zhiteiskie."
