Biography of Hana Sadek
Hana Sadek is an Iraqi fashion designer of Assyrian descent, known for her fashion shows held in Amman, Jordan, Naples, Italy, Beirut, Lebanon, and Dubai, UAE. She currently resides and works in Jordan.

Education and Background
Hana Sadek earned a degree in French literature from the University of Baghdad. Today, she is one of the most renowned designers in the Arab world, specializing in the integration of Arabic art with the finest principles of modern high fashion. Hana studied painting under the guidance of leading Iraqi artists and continued her education in Paris, where she focused on textile design, silk painting, and ceramics.
A Passion for Arab Culture
Sadek has traveled extensively throughout the Arab world and has collected around 5,000 antique Arab silver jewelry pieces and over 300 traditional Arab costumes. Based on her collection, she has published two books—one about the symbolism of Assyrian women's tattoos and another about natural cosmetics used by Arab women until recently. Additionally, Hana recently completed her new book on Jordanian silver jewelry and plans to commence work on a book about traditional Jordanian costumes. She delivers lectures on the history of Arab silver jewelry and national costumes in the Middle East and Europe, as well as contributing articles on the subject to various newspapers and magazines.
Achievements and Contributions
Hana Sadek designs costumes for numerous television films and series, as well as for events like cultural festivals that represent Jordan worldwide. She receives orders to create dresses for the Queen of Jordan and ladies belonging to ruling dynasties in Arab countries. Sadek has received several professional awards in different countries and was recognized as the Ambassador of Assyrian Fashion in Italy. In 1998, she won a gold medal for the best collection of Arab fashion in Italy. The following year, she won awards in Egypt and has repeatedly achieved gold medals in fashion shows in Bahrain and Dubai. In 2000, she won three silver awards for her shows in Italy. In 1987, Hana Sadek received an honorary prize at the International Fashion Festival in Moscow. She also participated in the Jerash Festival, where she was honored with awards.
A Family Legacy
For over 25 years, Hana Sadek has built a successful career in the fashion industry, and today she is supported by her daughters Nadia and Nora.
