Biography of Heidi Coxshall
Heidi Coxshall is a woman from the United Kingdom who gained attention for her unique wedding attire inspired by the character Fiona from the popular animated film "Shrek." Coxshall, who is 30 years old, wanted her wedding to be a memorable and unconventional event. She decided to dress as Fiona, the princess who transforms into a green ogre at night, and her husband, Paul Bellas, dressed as Shrek.

The Inspiration
The idea for the Shrek-themed wedding came from their four-year-old son, Leo, who is a big fan of the movie. After watching Shrek on DVD countless times, Leo suggested that his parents have a wedding in the spirit of the film. Coxshall and Bellas liked the idea and decided to embrace their son's enthusiasm.

A Unique Wedding
The couple, along with their guests, dressed up as various characters from fairy tales, including Snow White, Cinderella, Belle from "Beauty and the Beast," Puss in Boots, and the Mad Hatter, among others. The wedding took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in St. Helier, Jersey. Despite the unconventional theme, all the guests wholeheartedly supported the idea and joined in the fun.
The Ceremony
During the wedding ceremony, Coxshall surprised the 60 guests by authenticating her Fiona look with green body makeup, which took her an hour and a half to apply. Bellas, who works as a subcontractor in the construction industry, also transformed into Shrek with the help of makeup, prosthetic ears, and bushy eyebrows. The registrar, Sue Groves, who had officiated many weddings before, stated that this was the first time she had ever married two ogres.
A Message of Love
Bellas believed that the Shrek movies convey the message that appearances and social status don't matter when it comes to true love. He agreed to the "green wedding" because he wanted to celebrate the importance of genuine love and acceptance. Coxshall, acknowledging her own appearance, said that she is not the slimmest lady in the world but felt confident in her portrayal of Fiona. Despite not having a face as puffy as Shrek's, Bellas still managed to look realistic in his character's attire.
A Fairy Tale Wedding
Heidi Coxshall and Paul Bellas' Shrek-themed wedding showcased their creativity and love for their son's favorite movie. The couple emphasized the message of true love and acceptance, regardless of appearances, and created a memorable and enchanting wedding experience for themselves and their guests.
