Biography of Helena Josefsson

Helena Marianne Josefsson, born on March 23, 1978, in Kalmar, Sweden, is a Swedish singer, songwriter, and vocalist in the band Sandy Mouche. She lived in Lund, Sweden, in the province of Skåne, until 2007 and currently resides in Malmö. Helena is married and has four sisters.

Early Life

When Helena was only seven years old in 1985, her parents divorced. She, her mother, and her mother's new husband moved to a village called Björnstorp, located outside of Lund in the province of Skåne, Sweden, when she was ten years old in 1988.

Talents and Personal Life

Helena is left-handed and has the ability to play the tambourine, keyboard, and harmonica. She is married to Martinique Josefsson, who is of half Polish descent. Martinique can speak Polish but cannot write it.

Collaborations and Solo Work

The producer of the band Sandy Mouche is their friend, Swedish musician and arranger Christopher Lundquist. In 2003, Lundquist offered Helena the opportunity to participate in the recording of a solo album by Per Gessle titled "Mazarin," where she provided backing vocals. She also performed backing vocals on Gyllene Tider's album "Finn 5 Fel!" in 2004. In 2006, she worked on another solo album by Gessle titled "Son of a Plumber," where she contributed backing vocals on some songs and lead vocals on others.

Collaboration with Per Gessle

In 2007, Helena collaborated with Per Gessle again, recording his solo album "En Händig Man" (A Handy Man) and embarking on the En händig man på turné 2007 tour in Sweden. She also recorded several songs for guitarist Mikael Gökinan's album, creating a project called "Ludde, Hella & Göken" named after the participants (Ludde Wennström on double bass and backing vocals, Mikael Gökinan on acoustic guitar and backing vocals, and Helena Josefsson on vocals).
