Holly Greenhaw: A Modeling Star with Cerebral Palsy
Holly Greenhaw is a 7-year-old British girl who became a true advertising star in 2013, despite suffering from cerebral palsy. Her enchanting smile captured the hearts of many, and the clothing brand 'Boden' proudly named Holly Greenhaw their first model with cerebral palsy.

A Difficult Journey
Holly was born with cerebral palsy, a condition caused by a lack of oxygen during birth, which requires constant care from an early age. Unfortunately, she is unable to walk or even sit without support. However, her beautiful smile and golden hair became a perfect find for the advertising campaign of 'Boden,' a popular children's clothing brand.

The Beginnings of a Modeling Career
The idea of trying Holly as a model came to her grandmother, who convinced Holly's mother, Fiona, that their beautiful daughter could be a model. Incidentally, 'Boden' is Holly's favorite brand, so she was thrilled to promote their clothing. However, they had to wait for two long years before finally receiving the invitation for the photoshoot.

A Dream Come True
From her home in Cambridgeshire, England, Holly and her mother traveled to London, where she posed for the camera, changed outfits, and showcased her adorable smile alongside other children. The resulting photos were featured in the 'Boden' catalog.

Breaking Barriers
For a long time, Holly's illness isolated her from communication. However, she has now started using a special computer program, similar to the one used by the famous physicist with cerebral palsy, Stephen Hawking, to communicate. Holly Greenhaw is not the first child model with limited abilities; in 2012, 4-year-old Seb White, a boy with Down syndrome, participated in a campaign for the renowned brand 'Marks and Spencer'.
Advocacy for Inclusion
Clothing manufacturers, both for children and adults, are increasingly embracing reality and featuring models with disabilities in their advertising campaigns. Holly's mother hopes that this will help other children with limited abilities and open people's eyes to the fact that there are many imperfect children in the world. According to the US Census Bureau, around 12 percent of Americans live with disabilities, while the organization 'Inclusion in the Arts and Media of People With Disabilities' states that less than 1 percent of television characters have disabilities.
A Chance to Shine
Attitudes towards disabled individuals vary greatly across different countries. Holly Greenhaw was fortunate to feel valued and important despite her condition. She succeeded in taking on the challenging mission of being a model and seized the opportunity to make her mark in the world.
