Early Life and Career Beginnings
Argentinian tennis player, Horacio Zeballos, started playing tennis at the age of six. He began his professional career in 2003.
First ATP Final and Rookie of the Year
In 2009, Zeballos reached his first ATP final at the tournament in St. Petersburg. During the final match, he had a match point but ultimately lost to Ukrainian player Sergiy Stakhovsky with a score of 6-2, 6-7(8), 6-7(7). At the end of the year, he was recognized as the "Rookie of the Year" by the Association of Tennis Professionals.
Doubles Success and First ATP Title
In February 2010, Zeballos reached two finals in men's doubles. Firstly, at the tournament in Santiago, he and Italian partner Potito Starace were defeated by Lukasz Kubot and Oliver Marach with a score of 4-6, 0-6. Then, at the Buenos Aires tournament, Zeballos and Sebastian Prieto won their first ATP title, defeating Simon Greul and Peter Luczak with a score of 7-6(4), 6-3.
Grand Slam Success
At the 2010 US Open, Zeballos achieved success by reaching the semifinals in men's doubles. He accomplished this alongside Eduardo Schwank.
