Biography of Horst Buchholz
Horst Buchholz was a German actor who gained recognition for his role in the film "The Magnificent Seven". He was born in Berlin, Germany. As a young boy, he performed on radio and stage. He began his career in cinema by dubbing foreign films. His acting skills were noticed by Julien Duvivier at the Berliner Schiller Theater, who gave him his first film role in "Marianne de ma jeunesse" (1955). Later that year, he received the Prize of the Moscow International Film Festival in Cannes for his performance in Helmut Käutner's "Himmel ohne Sterne" (Sky Without Stars).
Buchholz gained international recognition for his leading role in "The Confessions of Felix Krull" (1957), a film that became popular worldwide. He excelled in romantic roles in British and American films. In 1958, he married French actress Myriam Bru.
In addition to "The Magnificent Seven", Buchholz is also known for his role in the action film "Enemy" (2001). Throughout his career, he appeared in various films, including "One, Two, Three" (1961), "Avalanche Express" (1979), "Sahara" (1984), "Operation: Emerald" (1985), "Life is Beautiful" (1997), and "Cruise in Death" (1998).
