Biography of Hrithik Roshan
Hrithik Roshan, an Indian film actor and multiple-time recipient of the Filmfare Award for Best Actor, is regarded as one of the sex symbols of Indian cinema. He was born into a Hindu family, with his father being Indian actor and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, his uncle being composer Rajesh Roshan, and his maternal grandfather being director J. Om Prakash.
In his childhood, Hrithik struggled with a speech impediment and self-image issues, as he had two thumbs on his right hand (polydactylism). At the age of 14, he underwent a specialized treatment and overcame his speech problems. Hrithik Roshan completed his education at Bombay Scottish School, Mahim, and pursued a commerce course at Sydenham College.
Acting Career
Hrithik made his debut as a child actor in the popular film "Aasha" in 1980. His adult debut came in 2000 with his father's film "Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai," which earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Debut and Best Actor. The film also marked the debut of actress Ameesha Patel.
Personal Life
In 2000, Hrithik married Suzanne Khan, the daughter of filmmaker Sanjay Khan. The couple had two children together, sons Rehan (born 2006) and Ridan (born 2008). Hrithik and Suzanne were married for 13 years before divorcing in 2013.
