Early Life and EducationBorn in Poland, Isabella Cywińska graduated from the State Higher School of Acting in Krakow in 1954. Her talent for the stage was evident from a young age, and she made her theatrical debut at the Береговом Theater in Gdansk on February 24, 1955.
Theater Career
Cywińska's theatrical career spanned decades. She graced the stages of the National Theater in Krakow (1955-1957) and the Old Theater in Krakow (1957-1990). Her exceptional performances left an enduring mark on Polish theater.
Film and Television
Cywińska's film and television credits include notable roles. She is best known for her portrayal of a housewife in Andrzej Wajda's 1972 film "The Wedding." Her performance in the television series "Years, Days..." (1980) as Janina Chominska also garnered widespread acclaim.
Teaching and Retirement
In addition to her acting career, Cywińska taught at the State Higher School of Theater in Krakow. She served as Deputy Rector from 1975-1978 before retiring in 1990.
Personal Life
Cywińska was married to Tadeusz Jurasz, with whom she had a daughter named Marta. She resided in Cencin near Żywiec until her passing.
