Yves Robert (French: Yves Robert; June 21, 1920, Saumur - May 10, 2002, Paris) was a French actor, director, screenwriter, and producer.
Early Life and Career
Yves Robert started his career working in publishing and had several different professions. He made his theatrical debut in Lyon. After the liberation of France, Yves Robert moved to Paris and worked in cabarets. He received his first role in a film in 1949.
Film Success
In 1962, Yves Robert received the Jean Vigo Award for his film "War of the Buttons." He became famous for his screenplays and directing work in the comedy genre. From 1956 until the end of his life, Yves Robert was married to actress Danielle Delorme.
