Biography of Jack Jordan
Jack Jordan, a resident of Maryland, gained wide recognition for his relentless pursuit of actress Uma Thurman. Since 2005, he has been harassing her, and not even a prison sentence could stop him.
Obsession with Uma Thurman
Jordan's relentless pursuit of Thurman involved writing her letters, making phone calls, demanding personal meetings, and repeatedly expressing his disapproval of her relationship with Swiss millionaire Arpad Busson. He even went as far as spending nights outside her house and attempting to enter film sets where she was working. At one point, driven to madness by his obsession, he threatened to take his own life if he ever saw Thurman with another man. Jordan's passionate correspondence included hundreds of letters, numerous phone calls, and messages.
Legal Consequences
In 2008, Jordan received a two-year prison sentence for his harassment. During the trial, he admitted to being genuinely obsessed with Thurman and unable to live without her. He also confessed to falling in love with Thurman after seeing her in the film "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen" in 1988 and losing his head completely after watching "Kill Bill." Thurman revealed that Jordan's harassment caused her fear and, as a result, affected her health. For Thurman, everything related to Jordan became a nightmare.
Failed Rehabilitation
After serving one year in prison and one year of compulsory psychiatric treatment, Jordan did not reform. Instead, he resumed his harassment by contacting Thurman again, once again expressing his disapproval of her relationship with Busson. Not long ago, he was arrested once again for the same harassment and stalking. On November 23, 2010, the persistent and dangerous stalker was apprehended in his Maryland home. He is now suspected of violating a court order prohibiting contact with Thurman for five years. At the time of his arrest, Jordan was found browsing information about Thurman on his computer.
Schizophrenia Diagnosis
Jordan, diagnosed with schizophrenia, still holds onto the hope that Thurman will choose him over Busson and marry him because he believes she is "too good" for Busson. The nightmare continues for Thurman, who relies solely on law enforcement for protection.
Previous Occupation and Education
It is known that Jordan previously worked as a pool cleaner and lifeguard. Rumor has it that he holds a degree in English literature from the University of Chicago.
