Early Life

Anquan Boldin was born in the Eastern New Orleans neighborhood of the city. He spent his teenage years enrolled at St. Augustine High School and Marion Abramson High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. After facing criticism from St. Augustine for his perceived lack of size, Boldin transferred to Abramson, where he blossomed in football.

College Career

After receiving a track and field scholarship to Southeastern Louisiana University, Boldin transferred to NCAA Division II Lane College in 2003. As a wide receiver, he was a three-time All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference player and broke a handful of receiving and kicking records.

Professional Football Career

Boldin was drafted by the Houston Texans in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played for the Texans from 2007 to 2011.

Baltimore Ravens

In 2012, Boldin joined the Baltimore Ravens. During his time with the Ravens, he was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2012. He is best known for his two memorable plays in the 2012 NFL playoffs: a 70-yard catch in the final seconds of regulation during the AFC Divisional Playoff game against the Denver Broncos and a 108-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in Super Bowl XLVII against the San Francisco 49ers, the longest play in Super Bowl history.

Coaching Career

After retiring from professional football, Boldin returned to Lane College as a wide receivers coach in 2018. He later held coaching positions at Calvert Hall College High School and Morgan State University. In 2022, he joined the coaching staff at Auburn University.

Dancing with the Stars

In 2013, Boldin participated in the 16th season of "Dancing with the Stars," partnering with Karina Smirnoff. The duo advanced to the finals but ultimately placed third.
