Jacqueline Seifriedsberger: A Trailblazing Austrian Ski Jumper

Early Career

Jacqueline Seifriedsberger burst onto the international scene on August 13, 2003, at the summer Grand Prix in Bischofshofen, where she placed 11th. Three years later, she achieved her first podium finish in a Continental Cup event, securing third place at the Zaō leg in Japan.

Historic World Cup Debut

On December 3, 2011, Seifriedsberger made history as she participated in the inaugural women's World Cup competition, finishing 13th. Just over a year later, on February 12, 2012, she earned her first World Cup podium, taking third place at a competition in Slovenia.

Breakthrough Season

The following season proved to be a watershed moment for Seifriedsberger. She clinched her first World Cup victory in Sapporo, becoming only the fourth Austrian female to achieve such a feat. Her remarkable performances throughout the season led her to a fourth-place finish in the overall standings and two coveted medals at the World Championships: a silver in the mixed team event and a bronze in the individual competition.
