Biography of Bakhtiyor Ibragimov
Early Life and EducationBakhtiyor Ibragimov was born on July 31, 1989, in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. He completed his secondary education at School No. 10. From 2008 to 2012, he pursued a bachelor's degree in Cinematography at the Uzbek State Institute of Arts and Culture.
During his university years, Ibragimov developed a passion for photography and participated in various competitions. In 2010-11, he participated in an exchange program at the University of Film and Television Potsdam in Germany.
Early Career in Cinematography
After graduating, Ibragimov began his career in cinematography by working on commercials, music videos, and feature films. Notable projects during this time included "Yomgir Ostida" (Under the Rain) by director Kudratullah Botiржаnov.
Rise to Prominence
From 2016 to 2020, Ibragimov's filmmaking flourished with the release of "Majnun," "Islam-Khoja," and "Ilhaq" (Alarm). In 2020, he served as a videographer for the Bukhari: Islamic Art Exhibition.

Ibragimov's talent has been recognized with numerous awards:2017: Best Cinematography for the short film "Aquarium" at the St. Petersburg International Film Festival
2019: Grand Prix for "Issiq Non" (Hot Bread) at the 28th Kinotavr Open Film Festival
2021: Grand Prix for "Ilhaq" at the Listapad International Film Festival in Belarus, along with five awards at the "Oltin Humo" National Film Festival in Uzbekistan, including Best Film and Best Cinematography
