Michael Jones: Welsh Snooker Professional

Early Success

Michael Jones emerged as a promising snooker talent in 2002 when, at the tender age of 15, he achieved the impressive feat of making a 147 break in an official match. This record was later surpassed by Judd Trump. In 2004, Jones further showcased his skills by triumphing at the European Under-19 Snooker Championship.

Professional Breakthrough

Jones turned professional in 2006, having earned his spot on the main tour by topping the Welsh amateur rankings. Despite initially struggling to make a significant impact on the professional circuit, he persevered and eventually made his mark in the 2010/11 season.

Return to the Main Tour

After spending some time in the PIOS tour, Jones made a successful return to the main tour in the 2010/11 season, finishing 8th in the series. His most notable achievement during this period was reaching the final of the fifth leg of the PTC.

Continued Aspiration

Jones continues to strive for success on the snooker circuit. While he has yet to achieve a major title at the professional level, his determination and proven ability suggest that he has the potential to make a significant impact in the future.
