Javier Hernandez Balcazar, commonly known as Chicharito, is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a forward for Guadalajara. He became the first Mexican footballer to join Manchester United, a Premier League club.

Early Life and Career

Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Javier Hernandez began his football journey at the age of nine when he joined Guadalajara's youth team. He started playing for the lower division team, Chivas Coras, in Tepic, Nayarit during the 2005-2006 season. Hernandez made his debut in the Apertura series, coming on as a substitute for Omar Bravo in the 82nd minute of the match against Necaxa at Estadio Jalisco. He scored his first and only goal of the season in that game, which Chivas won 3-0.

In the following year, Hernandez had less success, appearing in only six matches without scoring any goals. However, in the Clausura 2009, he scored four goals in 15 appearances.
