Biography of Jeffrey Veen
Jeffrey Veen is an American developer and entrepreneur, writer, and lecturer, best known as the founder of Small Batch, Inc. He leads a team of developers at Small Batch, Inc. who work on creating user-centric web products.

Early Career
Before founding Small Batch, Inc., Jeffrey was one of the founding partners of Adaptive Path, a renowned design and user experience consultancy. He also served as the project lead for Measure Map, a web analytics tool that gained high praise from experts and was acquired by Google in 2006. During his time working on the project, Jeffrey led a team responsible for creating some of the world's largest web applications.
Consultant and Contributions
As a consultant, Jeffrey has been involved in designing major blogging and social media applications for the Internet, including Blogger, TypePad, and Flickr. He has also worked on the development of National Public Radio's website. Prior to this, Jeffrey held the position of Executive Director of Interface Design at Wired Digital and Lycos Inc., where he oversaw the usability of HotWired, the engine for HotBot, and the creation of Lycos.com and other projects.
Writing and Contributions
In addition to his work in web design and development, Jeffrey is an active member of the World Wide Web Consortium's CSS Editorial Review Board, serving as an invited expert on electronic publishing. He also writes a column for Webmonkey and has authored and published the books "The Art & Science of Web Design" and "HotWired Style: Principles for Building Smart Web Sites".
