Joanna Page: Biography of a Welsh Actress

Joanna Page was born in 1977 in a small town in South Wales. Her father was a regular mechanic who spent all his free time in the garage. For most of her life, Joanna was left to her own devices, so she tried to make all important life decisions on her own. She attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, where many teachers whispered that if she wanted to, she could achieve unimaginable heights.

After completing her higher education, she began to try herself on the stages of many theaters, including the Royal National Theatre. But after several years of bouncing from one theater to another, she decided to turn to television. In 1999, she made her film debut, playing a small role in the movie "Julie Miss". The role did not bring her much popularity, but Joanna gained her first cinematic experience, which was crucial for a budding actress.

This was followed by minor roles in the show "David Copperfield" and the series "Real Anna-Marie". In 2001, she played Zoey in the film "The Diary of Zazie". That same year, the film "From Hell" was released, in which the actress played the role of Anne Crook.

In 2003, Joanna Page reached the peak of her fame. She played the role of Judy in the film "Love Actually", which became one of the most popular films of the year. Afterwards, Joanna Page mainly appeared in television series. She tries not to work too much and dedicates more time to herself and her loved ones.

A real triumph for the actress was the role of Stacey in the series "Gavin & Stacey". It premiered in 2007 and became one of the most popular projects of that year. Many Britons fell in love with this bright, fair-haired beauty, and the series became one of her most successful works. Currently, Joanna continues to appear in "Gavin & Stacey". Some speculate that this is just another creative crisis for the actress, while others believe that she has found new values in her life - not just career and fame, but also family happiness and marital responsibilities. Joanna has not abandoned the film industry, she simply works less frequently, dedicating more time to her personal life.

In 2003, Joanna Page married actor James Thornton. They currently reside in London.
