Early Life and Priesthood

Born in Te Aroha, New Zealand, on September 5, 1948, Dew's vocation to the priesthood emerged early. He was ordained a priest in 1975 and served as a curate in the Diocese of Hamilton. Auxiliary Bishop and Coadjutor

In 1995, Dew was appointed auxiliary bishop of Wellington, a role he held for nine years.
