Early Success

At the tender age of 17, Joshua Dziabiak had already made his first million dollars from selling his web hosting and design company, MediaCatch.

Trials and a Bright Idea

His next venture, a digital record label, had a short-lived existence. However, during this project, Dziabiak noticed a gap in the market: independent artists and small-scale events struggled to sell tickets effectively.

Launching ShowClix

Recognizing this opportunity, Dziabiak gained experience at Spreadshirt before partnering with Lynsie Camuso to launch ShowClix in 2007. The platform allowed organizers to sell tickets via email or text message, and provided real-time reporting.

Expansion and Recognition

ShowClix rapidly gained traction, attracting over 1000 clients and facilitating the sale of millions of tickets. In 2023, the company released an Android smartphone app for ticket scanning.

Competitive Edge

ShowClix differentiated itself by charging lower service fees (7-15%) compared to industry giant Ticketmaster. This advantage attracted clients seeking alternative ticketing options.

Challenging the Goliath

Dziabiak set his sights on taking on Ticketmaster after the latter merged with Live Nation, leading to conflicts of interest for promoters. He established the Fair Ticketing Fund, offering incentives to those who switched from Ticketmaster, garnering media attention and securing exclusive contracts with major companies.

The Future of Ticketing

Dziabiak continues to advance ShowClix as a "fair and innovative alternative to Ticketmaster." While the road ahead will be challenging, he remains determined to reshape the ticketing industry.
