American criminal
In the first half of the year, a series of unusual crimes occurred in North Carolina - an unknown intruder broke into homes, crept into the bedrooms of these homes' owners, climbed into bed with them, and started... massaging their backs. The mysterious criminal was caught, and now the authorities have to decide what to do with such an unusual villain. North Carolina resident Giulio Antonio Yanez was arrested on Tuesday for a highly unusual crime - he is accused of breaking into other people's homes and massaging the backs of the homeowners. The unusual maniac operated in the same way - under the cover of darkness, he would break into a stranger's home, find his way into the bed of the homeowner, and start massaging her back. Of course, after some time, the women would wake up; the unwanted masseur would immediately be expelled from the house. Despite the fact that Yanez left upon the first request of his victims, the police still received reports about him.
Arrest and subsequent crimes
The massage maniac was first arrested on July 22, for an intrusion committed three days earlier. On September 17, Giulio was due to appear in court, but just three days after his release, another complaint was filed against him. The second victim of Yanez knew him - the man had previously offered her a back massage, but she firmly refused. Deciding to take what he wanted by force, he broke into the woman's house at night. After Yanez was arrested for the second time, his story became public, and at least two more victims of the nocturnal masseur immediately contacted the police. Their accounts described the familiar story to the police - night-time intrusion, attempted back massage, and escape at the first sign of dissatisfaction from the homeowner. The police noted that if Yanez's victims had contacted them earlier, they would have caught him much sooner. Of course, it is difficult to consider Yanez a particularly dangerous criminal - in the end, all his victims suffered only moral damage. However, such behavior could be a symptom of serious mental deviations, which could potentially lead Yanez to commit more serious crimes.
Current situation and charges
Currently, the shy maniac is under arrest, with bail set at $2,000. His trial, as planned before, is scheduled for September 17. Giulio is charged with unlawful entry into someone else's property, indecent behavior, and offensive acts. Since Yanez only broke into unlocked homes, the police were unable to charge him with burglary. It is not yet known whether the court will involve psychiatrists in the process or what kind of punishment awaits Giulio Yanez.
